I have finally got all the stuff together for our advent calendar and since we are spending so much time at home this year it’s a little extra. I’ve compiled a list of all the advent fillers that I found and included a link where possible. I generally try to keep things gender neutral so these would be great for boys & girls!

Here’s what I’m going to use to fill our advent calendar this year:
It has a cute pop-up Christmas tree at the end!
Christmas Village – Dollar Tree
We use these with train tracks and hot wheels too!
Just because it’s cute!!
Christmas Socks – Dollar Tree
I like to give these near the beginning so he can wear them all month long.
Get outside and build a fort!
You can usually find these randomly at the grocery or drug store.
Letter To Santa – Dollarama
You could also find a free printable online and include a few stickers, a stamp and an envelope.
Perfect size for the kiddos!
Homemade playdough would be even better!
Christmas Suncatcher Kit – Dollarama
I’ve linked another option here.
Metal Christmas Cookie Cutters – Dollarama
We are going to use these for cookies, salt dough ornaments, and bird feeders. I found another cute set here.
It’s like a little elf chia pet!
I will provide paint, glue, glitter etc.
Glow Sticks & Balloons – Dollarama
Pop a glow stick in each balloon and turn off the lights for a super fun bath!
A classic take on the hilarious movie!
Michaels sells singles so you can grab a few new colours!
DIY Nutcracker – Dollarama
Gingerbread House Kit – Dollarama
You can usually find other options in your local grocery store too.
DIY Snowglobe – Inspired by Sugar, Spice & Glitter
We will also add glitter for the “snow.”
Marker Set – Dollarama
Pencil & Crayon Sharpener – Dollar Tree
I hope that this gave you some ideas for your own DIY Christmas countdown!
